Athletics - K of C State Bowling

Dear Brother Knights,

Marquette Council #3631 from Griffith is honored to host the annual State Bowling tournament in 2010.  The state bowling will be held on two different weekends, February 20 & 21 and February 27 and 28 2010. 

In an effort to hopefully have more participation we our expanding the eligibility requirements.

They will be as follows:
Team events will consist of 5 bowlers.    The five bowlers need to have a minimum of 3 Knights of Columbus members only.  Also member's spouses are also eligible to bowl.  Yes, this will be opened to a mixed team.  All handicaps will be based on 90% of 240.
    
     If you can only get a team of 4 bowlers or two couples our council will be happy to find you a fifth bowler if need.
     In the spirit of being a family organization we will also have bowling open for youth bowlers at reduced cost.
     Saturday will have bowling starting at 2:30pm C.S.T.  and two squads on Sunday at 9:00 and noon C.S.T.
     We also will have mass followed by dinner at the hall on Saturday night.
     We will be having a 90% payout of all prize money!

Please mark your calendars and start now to bring your team up to the Region.

Bowling will be at Stardust Bowling in Dyer, IN which is only about 5 miles from the council.  Several new motels are located on U.S. in Schererville between the council and the bowling center.
