Council Goals for 2009-2010 Fraternal Year
1. Sell the K of C Brand
Be proud you're a Knight and show your community who the Knights of Columbus are.
Pray. Thank our Lord Jesus Christ that you are part of the greatest Catholic family fraternal organization in the world. Be proud and enthusiastic about spreading this message to your community.
2. Increase participation of members in Council Activities
Pray. We are all called by Jesus to be active disciples. We are called to serve our Lord. Council activities build trust and brotherhood within our fraternity which ultimately builds the Church militant. Trust in the Holy Spirit to guide our works.
3. Submit all Supreme Forms on time
- Service Program Personnel Report (Form 365 - 1 August 2009)
- Annual Survey of Fraternal Activity (Form 1728 - 31 December 2009)
- Columbian Award Application (Form SP-7 - 30 June 2010)
- Semiannual Council Audit (Forms 1295-2; 15 August 2009 and 1295-1;15 February 2010)
4. Submit four Council activity reports to Indiana Council Director.
Examples:
- Officers attended District Summer Meeting or Regional Training Meeting
- Installation of Officers for 2009-2010
- Officers attended District Winter Meeting
- Delegates attended Indiana State Convention
- Conducted 1st Degree or hosted Major Degree
5. Distribute a newsletter at least quarterly to all Council members, State Deputy, State Secretary, State Council Director, and State Program Director.
6. Submit a Council Activity for the State Council Service Program Award Form STSP - 28 February 2010

- Wear K of C logo clothing to meetings, church activities, and community activities
- Put K of C decals, license plates, or bumper stickers on you cars.
- Put K of C logo on shirts of CYO, Little League and other teams you sponsor.
- Put a K of C road sign in your community
- Advertise your events in parish bulletins, local newspapers, and other media.
- Submit frequent press releases for completed events to your local newspapers and parish bulletins
- Submit events to Knight in Action; both at the Supreme Council and Indiana State Council levels

- Strive to have every member participate in at least one event during the fraternal year
- Use the Knight in Shining Armor (link to supreme page on Knight in Shining Armor) program to get new members involved quickly
- Recognize members with "Knight of the Month" and "Knight of the Year" awards
- Use your meetings, newsletters and press releases to recognize the work your brother Knights have done
- Report number of members participating on the monthly activity report
