We are fast approaching the end of our fraternal year, 4 more months to get everything done. By now we should have finished our semi-annual audit form 1295-2, and your fraternal activity form 1728 and Special Olympics form 4584. If you have not done so please get them finished, the semi-annual audit is needed to continue receiving bonding for your Treasurer and Financial Secretary. We know you don't like doing all these forms but this is how the order keeps it's not for profit status.
We should have by now elected your delegates and alternates to our State Convention during the last full weekend in April, from the 27th to the 29th. We need all councils there since this is an election year. Your vote determines who will be the state officers for the coming year. The old saying goes "if you didn't vote don't complain". So please I hope to see all of you at the convention.
Our councils need to set up a mentoring program for the new members we bring in. A lot of members bring the new member in then forget who they are. If you brought someone in then mentor them, bring them to meeting and activities. We are losing too many members, we bring them in the front door and they walk out the back. Let's close that door by way of mentoring.
With the devastating tornados that went through Southern Indiana a number of our Brother Knights lost their homes and memories they held. We need to help them any way we can. I ask for and got permission to have councils who donate to the Indiana State Charity Fund to receive a onetime credit for council activate. If your council donated fill out the activity form and get to me and you will be credited.
