Volunteer for a few days or week, all will be appreciated.

I have been in contact with our brothers in Florida. Our Indiana Response trailer is already ½ loaded with totes, rubber gloves, face mask and trash bags. Awaiting word from our local brother Knights for more specific needs. Once road access and electricity are restored and a EOC is established, we will be headed south. (hopefully by next weekend) Our first trip is to deliver supplies. We may schedule a later trip to assist in clean up once we get a better handle on the situations our brothers are experiencing.

If you have any interest volunteering to work cleaning up and/or gutting homes please e-mail me your name and phone number. Accommodations are extremely scarce, so if you are willing to volunteer be prepare to be self-sufficient, camper or tents. Conditions will be hot, damp, dusty and buggy. 

Just spoke to Fr. Luke from St. Dominic Parish in Panama City.  3308 E. 15th Street  32405   ( cell - 850-525-2947 ) He is in need of volunteers to help distribute water and supplies. This parish is being set up as an EOC with CCUSA. They are running on generators for now and he said road access is open, even though the news says otherwise. (the bridge is open) They have a truck load of water from CCUSA and are in need of diapers, MRE’s, snack bars, handi wipes, feminine products, hygiene products, pop up shelters 12x12. They are trying to take care of basic needs at present time.  As you can image most are overwhelmed and shell socked still.

Members of the Knights of Columbus Indiana State Council Disaster Response Team, from Assembly #246 prepare to load the Indiana Disaster Response trailer, with help from the Osgood Lions Club. Both organization have joined forces for this mission to provide much need supplies to the Panama City area. The joint task force will depart Thursday afternoon headed to St. Dominic Catholic Church home of Council # 3599 were with the help of Catholic Charites have established a EOC. Bill has partnered with the Lions Clubs to share resources and provide efficiencies that results in better service to those in need.

Spend a weekend, week or more in service to many. We have several Indiana Knights that have deployed to various areas around the panhandle of Florida and are monitoring their progress. We are in need of 24” barrel fans. If you can assist please call 812-689-6699 so we can arrange pick up no later than Thursday morning.

May extend our stay till Monday if arrangements can be made.  This is a fluid situation and will adapt as conditions dictate. Can use drivers and a ¾ ton pickup truck with trailer hitch. Trailer is ½ loaded with totes, trash bags, dusk mask, rubber gloves. They will eventually need items like rakes, scoop shovels, crow bars, etc.  to start the clean up process. See Fr. Luke on  St.Dominicpc.com
